On March 28, 2023, The 12th Council Session of the International Bamboo and Rattan Organization (INBAR) along with the flag-raising ceremony for Chad and the Democratic Republic of Congo joining INBAR was held in Beijing. The conference was hosted by the INBAR, with the International Center for Bamboo and Rattan providing comprehensive support to ensure its successful completion.
The Council received participation from over 80 representatives of member countries across 37 nations, including 10 ambassadors and 5 representatives. More than ten media outlets attended the event, including Xinhua News Agency, People's Daily, CGTN, CCTV, and China Green Times, among others.
During the conference, a flag-raising ceremony was also held for the new member countries, Chad and Congo (DRC). Following the Council, guests from various countries visited the bamboo and rattan exhibition hall at the International Center for Bamboo and Rattan to learn about and exchange information on China's latest breakthroughs, developments, and achievements in the field of bamboo and rattan.
