Liu Ping

With nearly 30 years’ experience in the industry of MICE, Liu Ping is the founder of China Star, a Professional Conference Organizer and a Destination Management Company. She is active in the international industry associations such as SITE, ICCA and IAPCO. She was the first international board director of SITE (2008-2014) from Asia and is one of the founders of World PCO Alliance. Liu Ping received Frankfurt IMEX Academy Award in 2009 and was listed in China MICE Hall of Figures (CMHF) in 2017. Liu Ping likes writing and her first autobiographical novel “My Chinese Dream – From Red Guard to CEO” was published in 2012 and 2014 separately in English and Chinese.

Feng Jianhua, CEO of China Star and a SITE member of 11 years. Has been working as hotel sale and customer manager, and travel escort, interpreter/coordinator for Citizen Ambassador Program professional delegations after graduation from English Department of Beijing Tourism Institute in 1987. Often participated in important international conferences, and involve the reception of government delegations, include the operation of the Belgian King trade and commerce delegation’s visit to Wuhan, Beijing and Shanghai in June 2015; and the Baden-Wurttemberg official delegation visit to Beijing, Shenyang, Nanjing and Shanghai in October 2015. Since joining China Star in 2002, has been fully involved in incentive travel and international conference, planned and implemented dozens of Sino–US meetings and international association’s conferences. Has rich experiences in leadership, management and operation.

President
Bao Xiaolan, SITE member, a girl of Chinese Mongolian nationality, is hardworking and responsible. With pure Mongolian descent, she has inherited all the outstanding characteristics of her nation, which are compassion, optimism, hospitality and enthusiasm. With bachelor degree of English major, she is good at communication and sensitive about details. Bao Xiaolan joined China Star 19 years ago when the company was just founded. Since then, she has built up rich experiences in handling all kinds of events including professional programs, incentive travels, meetings and conferences.

A graduate from Guizhou University of Finance and Economics with Bachelor Degree in Finance and Economic Management, Liu Hua has experiences working for the government, international enterprises, state-owned and private companies. Since joining China Star in 2006, she has used her previous experience in administrative management, human resource management, financial management, and marketing management. She has planned and organized hundreds of domestic and international conferences, has rich management experience and high creative ability, and is a comprehensive talent for enterprise management. Liu Hua now is the general manager of China Star in charge of marketing and finance.

With over a decade dedicating to the meetings industry, Kevin Jiang is regarded, by the industry peers, as one of the top level meeting professionals applying cutting edge IT technologies and practical solutions in conferences and events. Kevin once worked in China International Conference Center for Science and Technology affiliated to the government as a professional meeting planner from the early stage when China was open to the outside world by way of international exchanges in form of meetings. Today’s Kevin works under more flexible environment, that makes him focus more deeply in this field with his insight and knowledge, hence, makes him contribute more in the research and development of conference website and system.

Majoring in Tourism Management, Chen Qu graduated from Capital University of Economics and Business with Bachelor Degree of Management. Since 2006 when she joined China Star, Chen Qu has worked as operation manager, vice director and director of DMC incentive department and has been involved in managing and handling lots of important and large-scaled events mainly belonging to the Fortune 500 Companies. Because of her outstanding performance, she was awarded the Zijin Cup with the title of Advanced Individual in 2013 by Beijing Tourism Committee, which is the highest honor for individuals in tourism industry in China. She is extremely responsible in her work, pays attention to details, works hard and is be loved by China Star’s customers.

Ann Zhang, graduated from Chongqing Medical University with the major of clinical medicine. Instead of becoming a doctor, she decided to follow her heart and accepted an offer from MICE industry that needs inter-disciplinary talents. The 5 years’ study in the medical university is a great advantage for Ann when she is in charge of medical conferences or events. Ann is crazy about everything to do with high-technology and is good at computer technology application. Used to be a “Straight A Student” from elementary school to university, Ann is a home-bound girl, enjoying electronic games, music and pen-and-ink calligraphy in her spare time.

Yang Bo graduated from Beihang University as an English Major in 1990. After graduation, he joined China International Travel Service Head Office and worked in UK Division of European Department in the field of Liaison, sales and operations. Having left CITS after over 15 years, he has worked for travel companies like Xing Travel, Bokai Travel and China Star in positions of major business sales, marketing and operations. Yang Bo is familiar and knowledgeable with the inbound travel scope, good at communicating with clients and has strong oral and writing ability in English. He loves what he engages to do and holds strong responsibility in it.

Helen Yan, used to work in the Embassy of Slovakia in Beijing, with working experience for a Chinese government project in Ireland for 2 years. As a China Star professional guide, Helen has been responsible for interpretation during professional meetings and logistics, received delegation including American Bar Association, Texas Bar Association, American Civil Engineering Association, American Human Resource Association, etc. Working as an overall coordinator for important events and conferences in the last 10 years.

Used to serve in the People’s Liberation Army, Zhang Yunhong now is the Communist Party branch secretary and chairman of the Labor Union in China Star. He, at the same time, is in charge of human resources of the company. He is also a hard-working professional driver of China Star and is beloved by his colleagues and clients for his great service. He has a son, a pilot-to-be for Air China, who studies in an aviation university and makes Zhang so proud. Zhang likes cooking for his family.

Lily Chen, graduated from Beijing Radio and TV University with the major of Business Administration, has worked in MICE industry for 12 years in charge of logistics, management of suppliers, purchase and onsite management. She has been involved in many of China Star’s important events and conferences. She is a very well organized and hard-working person with strong team spirit. She likes to learn and makes progress all the time. She enjoys travel and watching basketball matches.

Graduated from Shanghai TV University with a major of logistics management, Tang Yuqing had 8 years’ working experience in an air company and a travel agency separately before she joined China Star Shanghai in February 2016, since then she has been in charge of logistics and administration and has been involved in handling all of China Star events in Shanghai. With her rich experiences in travel industry, she is sensitive about details and capable to handle all kinds of emergent affairs. She is a good mother with a small daughter and enjoys cuisine, baking and traveling with the family.
