The 4th Global Ocean Acidification Observing Network (GOA-ON) International Workshop
The 4th Global Ocean Acidification Observing Network (GOA-ON) International Workshop was held in Hangzhou on 14-17 April 2019.
Formally established in 2012 on the basis of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC), Global Ocean Acidification Observing Network (GOA-ON) is an organization specifically for international cooperation in global ocean acidification research. The conference was jointly held by Second Institute of Oceanography (SIO), Ministry of Natural Resources, China and State Key Laboratory of Satellite Ocean Environment Dynamics (SOED). The conference has brought together well-known experts, scholars and industry representatives from more than 60 countries. Various forms including plenary sessions, symposiums, training courses, poster sessions and technical exchange exhibitions were used to discuss the research progress of ocean acidification, coastal ecosystem response, simulation of marine physical ecological process, ocean acidification observation cooperation network development, etc.
